Our judo mats are manufactured completely according to our specifications in one of Europe's best factories.
Through a long series of tests and with more than 20 years of experience, we have developed the materials that best withstand all stresses. A good rug is not soft. A mat that is too soft can damage the knee joint if the foot sinks and does not follow rotational movements. In a good rug, all pieces are equally hard. The pieces must of course also keep given dimensions so that an entire carpet can be laid without risky cracks.
Each carpet is checked manually before leaving the factory. Approved carpets are marked with the stamp "Budo Nord TATAMI APPROVED". We provide a two-year guarantee on these carpets. A security for you.
Our carpets have been much appreciated by the country's judo, jujutsu and aikido clubs. Many successful Swedish clubs use our mat for training and competition. Internationally, the same mat has been used in major competitions such as the European Judo Championships in Pamplona and Athens, the Albert Hall Show, the Goodwill Games in Seattle and the Canadian Championships. Budo Nord Tatami Approved is not only used by judo, jujutsu and aikido clubs, most budo sports and several of the country's gyms use our mats for aerobic exercise.
The rug is available in two formats, 1 x 1 meter or 1 x 2 meters, and in 10 colors (green and red are normally in stock). All pieces are 40 mm thick. All carpets are equipped with "Anti-slip waffle" on the underside. This is so that the carpet will lie still on the surface.

Budo-Nord Tatami maintains high quality down to the smallest detail. All welds on Budo-Nord Tatami are meticulously made by hand to get an exact fit, high strength and complete seal. This means that no moisture can damage the foam core.
Budo-Nord Tatami is laminated on the underside with waffle-patterned Anti-Slip latex rubber. The waffle pattern creates a suction between the material and the surface, which means that the carpets barely move, even when exposed to strong vertical effects.
